Mount Everest (8,848.86 m) & Lobuche Peak (6,119 m) Expedition: Ascent Himalayan Heights,  Led by UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide

Everest is the tallest mountain in the world, standing 8848.86 meters above sea level. It is in the Solukhumbu region and on the border between Nepal and China.

Tibet, China, has the north and east sides of Everest, while Nepal has the southwest side. Everest is surrounded by massive peaks like Lhotse, Pumori, Nuptse, Lho La, Sartse, Changtse, and more.

Climbing Everest takes a lot of climbing training at high altitudes. This is why most Everest adventures start with smaller peaks of 6000, 7000, or even 8000 meters. Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary, two British climbers, reached the top of Everest for the first time on May 29, 1953. On Everest, there have been several records as well as a few tragedies.

The Everest trek goes through the Khumbu area, which has some of the highest villages in the world. The hike up to Everest base camp is exciting because you get to see both nature and cultural wonders along your route.

One of the most special features of this expedition is its extension of Lobuche Peak climbing. This feature not only adds another 6000er to your summit list but also ensures a high rate of success on Everest because of the acclimatization and experience you gain in the 6000er.

The Trekking Day

The day usually begins between 6.30 am and 7.30 am, with breakfast. During breakfast, the crew members make up the loads for the porters. You often start hiking by 7:30 am, though we wait for the sun to warm the air at higher altitudes.

The pace for the day is set at a lower speed. Instead, you will have time to become aware of everything around you and to enjoy it. Our guides are excellent timekeepers but cannot make you rush over the mountains!

The afternoon walk follows a similar pattern to the morning; it is often shorter, and your lodge is usually reached between 4 pm and 5 pm. There is plenty of time to relax or explore the surrounding area until the evening meal is served at about 6.30 pm. After dinner, there is time to chat, read or enjoy a game of cards with our crew. Most members are asleep by 9 pm.
