Mount Everest (8,848.86 m) & Island Peak (6,189 m) Combo Expedition: Unleash Your Ultimate Adventure, Led by UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide
The Everest with Island Peak Expedition is an exciting and challenging adventure that combines two popular peaks in Nepal's Everest region. This trek provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ascend both Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world (8,848.86 meters) and the magnificent Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse ( 6,189 meters).
Mount Everest, popularly known as "the crown jewel of the Himalayas," is the highest point on the earth, towering 8,848.86 meters (29,031 feet). Everest is part of the Mahalangur Himalayas and is located on the boundary between Nepal and Tibet (China). The famous mountain is bordered by spectacular peaks, including the huge Lhotse to the south, the world's fourth highest peak, and the legendary Nuptse to the west.
On May 29, 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal made the first successful ascent of Mount Everest via the South Col Route. This extraordinary accomplishment marked an important turning point in mountaineering history, inspiring hundreds of climbers to pursue their ambitions and put their mountaineering skills to the test.
Along with Mount Everest, the adventure includes the summit of popular Island Peak, which stands at an elevation of 6,189 meters (20,305 feet). This popular trekking peak is also situated in the Sagarmatha National Park, within the Khumbu region of Nepal.
Island Peak was successfully climbed for the first time in 1953 as part of a British Mount Everest reconnaissance mission headed by Charles Evans. It has since become a popular climbing destination for those looking for a thrilling and technically demanding peak to summit.

The Trekking Day
The day usually begins between 6.30 am and 7.30 am, with breakfast. During breakfast, the crew members make up the loads for the porters. You often start hiking by 7:30 am, though we wait for the sun to warm the air at higher altitudes.
The pace for the day is set at a lower speed. Instead, you will have time to become aware of everything around you and to enjoy it. Our guides are excellent timekeepers but cannot make you rush over the mountains!
The afternoon walk follows a similar pattern to the morning; it is often shorter, and your lodge is usually reached between 4 pm and 5 pm. There is plenty of time to relax or explore the surrounding area until the evening meal is served at about 6.30 pm. After dinner, there is time to chat, read or enjoy a game of cards with our crew. Most members are asleep by 9 pm.
