Touchdown at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. Our representative from Everest Sherpa Expedition welcomes you warmly, assists with your luggage, and transfers you via private vehicle to your hotel. Once you finish the check-in procedure, rest and relax to recover from your international flight and prepare for the endurance journey ahead.

Day 02 (May 17)Official Race Briefing & Equipment Check ๐
Meet your lead Sherpa guides and official marathon race coordinators. We spend the day reviewing high-altitude safety protocols, inspecting mandatory trail running and cold-weather gear, checking timing bibs, and finalizing official race documentation. You have free time in the afternoon to make last-minute gear additions in Thamel.

Day 03 (May 18)Flight to Lukla & Trek to Phakding (2,652 m / 8,700 ft) โ๏ธ
Take a dramatic 35-minute mountain flight to Lukla (2,860 m), the high-altitude gateway to the Everest region. Upon landing on the sloping airstrip, meet your porter support crew and begin your initial trek downhill along the Dudh Koshi River basin. We pass local mani walls, prayer wheels, and small Sherpa hamlets to reach Phakding.

Day 04 (May 19)Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,446 m / 11,305 ft) ๐๏ธ
Cross soaring suspension bridges draped in colorful prayer flags, including the iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge hanging high above the river gorge. We enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo and begin the steep, continuous pine forest climb leading into the famous amphitheater of Namche Bazaar-the historic Sherpa capital.

Day 05 (May 20) Acclimatization & Exploration Day in Namche Bazaar ๐๏ธ ๐
A crucial rest and lung-adaptation day for high-altitude runners. We take a morning acclimatization hike up to the Everest View Hotel (3,880 m) for your first panoramic glimpse of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. This active recovery climb speeds up red blood cell production before we descend back to Namche for the afternoon.

Day 06 (May 21)Scenic Trek to Khumjung Village (3,770 m / 12,368 ft) ๐๏ธ
Ascend gently above Namche into the peaceful, high-valley settlement of Khumjung. We walk through green-fenced fields, visit the historic Khumjung Monastery housing the famed "Yeti Scalp," and explore the local Hillary School. The short distance ensures low physical strain while gradually increasing our sleeping altitude.

Day 07 (May 22)Trek to Deboche via Tengboche Monastery (3,820 m / 12,532 ft)
Follow a high-contour trail with continuous mountain vistas before dropping into the Imja Khola gorge at Phunki Tenga. From the river, ascend steep switchbacks through rhododendron forests to Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual heart of the Khumbu region. After touring the monastery courtyard, drop down a short forest path to quiet Deboche.

Day 08 (May 23)Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,468 ft) ๐พ
Emerge fully above the tree line into the high-alpine environment. We trek alongside the rushing waters of the Imja River, passing stone-walled fields built to protect crops from icy mountain winds. The valley widens significantly as we reach the alpine farming settlement of Dingboche, set beneath the massive rock wall of Ama Dablam.

Day 09 (May 24)Acclimatization Hike at Dingboche (5,100 m Peak View) โฐ๏ธ
Second dedicated high-altitude rest and training day. We take an acclimatization climb up Nagarjun Hill (5,100 m), located directly above the village. The steep climb provides exceptional high-altitude conditioning and panoramic views of Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Island Peak before we return down to our teahouse for recovery.

Day 10 (May 25)Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m / 16,108 ft) ๐๏ธ
Ascend the wide alpine valley to Dughla, then make a steep climb up the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. At Thokla Pass (4,830 m), pass the memorial stone chortens dedicated to fallen climbers and Sherpas. Continue along the glacial lateral moraine to reach the high-altitude settlement of Lobuche.

We reach Gorakshep, the final seasonal teahouse outpost before Base Camp, arriving by early afternoon to rest and hydrate.

Day 12 (May 27)Sunrise Hike to Kala Patthar & Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,545 m / 5,364 m) ๐

Summit Kala Patthar (5,545 m) early in the morning for an unforgettable close-up view of Mount Everest's summit cone and Nuptse. Afterwards, descend to Gorakshep and trek directly onto the Khumbu Glacier ice fields to reach Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). Check into our dedicated Everest Sherpa Expedition tented race camp.

Rest your legs, carb-load, and soak in the electric atmosphere at Base Camp alongside international runners and high-altitude athletes. Our team checks your race gear, fits official timing bibs, conducts medical checks, and holds the mandatory pre-race technical briefing at the edge of the Khumbu Icefall.

Day 14 (May 29)RACE DAY - Everest Base Camp to Namche Bazaar ๐โ๏ธ๐
The Main Event. Depart the start line at Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) at dawn. Tackle the world's highest 42.195 km marathon course down glacial moraines, rocky scree slopes, alpine trails, and forest single-tracks. Race past Gorakshep, Lobuche, Pangboche, and Tengboche, descending to the legendary finish line celebration in Namche Bazaar (3,446 m).

Day 15 (May 30)Recovery Morning & Trek to Monjo (2,850 m / 9,350 ft) ๐
Enjoy a well-earned sleep-in and a relaxing morning in Namche Bazaar celebrating your race finish with fellow runners. In the afternoon, take a gentle recovery trek down the steep pine forest steps, exiting the national park gates to settle into the quiet village of Monjo.

Day 16 (May 31)Final Trek to Lukla (2,860 m / 9,383 ft) ๐๐
Complete the final leg of your Himalayan trail journey along the Dudh Koshi River valley. We cross suspension bridges and make a short final climb into Lukla. In the evening, host a farewell party for your Sherpa guides, porters, and support crew to celebrate your marathon achievement.
