The Annapurna Expedition led by Maurice Herzog has always been a source of amusement among mountaineers. Annapurna, the world's tenth-highest peak, was the first of the 8000-meter peaks to be climbed, but since then it has gained a reputation for having the worst fatality rate of any of the 8000-meter peaks. Annapurna is rarely climbed because of how difficult it is. Despite being only 8091 meters in height, the Annapurna trekking adventure is one of the most arduous expeditions in the Himalayas and the world due to the extremely rough and steep terrain, unpredictable weather, and risk of avalanches.

The Trekking Day

The day usually begins between 6.30 am and 7.30 am, with breakfast. During breakfast, the crew members make up the loads for the porters. You often start hiking by 7:30 am, though we wait for the sun to warm the air at higher altitudes.

The pace for the day is set at a lower speed. Instead, you will have time to become aware of everything around you and to enjoy it. Our guides are excellent timekeepers but cannot make you rush over the mountains!

The afternoon walk follows a similar pattern to the morning; it is often shorter, and your lodge is usually reached between 4 pm and 5 pm. There is plenty of time to relax or explore the surrounding area until the evening meal is served at about 6.30 pm. After dinner, there is time to chat, read or enjoy a game of cards with our crew. Most members are asleep by 9 pm.

We provide a highly experienced team of IFMGA/UIAGM guides, assistant guides if required, cook and kitchen staff, rope fixing team, and high-altitude workers. Our team is committed to ensuring your safety and satisfaction during your adventure.
